1, Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money online, and it’s an easy way for beginners who aren’t interested in creating their own products. Affiliate marketing also works well for more advanced marketers who don’t want to spend a lot of time creating content but still want to earn some money from their business.
2, Dropshipping
Drop shipping is a system in which products are fulfilled by suppliers (not you) and sent directly to customers. This enables you to make money online without having your own inventory or even knowing about what you’re selling. There are many benefits of drop shipping, but one of my favorites is that it requires little investment—only time and energy. One unique way I make good money dropshipping is by monetizing a hobby.
3, Ecommerce
There are two main ways of earning money online. The first is to start an ecommerce business that sells physical products online—and then there’s affiliate marketing, which involves promoting someone else’s product or service and earning a commission when you make a sale. Although you can make money through affiliate marketing with just about any website, there are certain ones that are more profitable than others: Amazon Associates, Share-A-Sale, Commission Junction, Rakuten Marketing...the list goes on.
4) Customer service
People are always going to need products and services. If you want a stable, reliable way to make good money online today, become an online freelance customer service representative. Plenty of companies hire remote workers—and don’t worry if you don’t have any experience; most firms will train you on how to deal with customers over chat.
5, Niche blogging
Niche blogging—i.e., writing about a specific topic and tailoring your content, links, and social media outreach accordingly—has always been a great way to make money online. (Side note: This story by Michelle Schroeder-Gardner on making extra money as a blogger is a must-read for bloggers.) The beauty of niche blogging is that you can build up your brand and gain traffic quickly with targeted ads, links, social shares, and other tactics specifically aimed at hyper-specific niches.
6, Coaching
If you’re good at a particular skill or have knowledge that other people need, try offering coaching services. For example, if you’re an expert in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), you could coach people on how to improve their website’s performance on search engines like Google. You could even become an online tutor for someone willing to pay. It all depends on your particular strengths and weaknesses.
7, Freelancing
Freelancing is great because you can set your own hours. If you’re a skilled writer, translator, graphic designer or programmer, then working as a freelancer is an easy way to earn extra money online. Websites like Upwork and Fiverr will connect you with clients looking for services. You can offer your services on a per-project basis, or become a full-time freelancer.
8, Physical products
You can sell your products and services directly on Amazon, or you can use Amazon’s platform to build out a full e-commerce store. Many vendors who list their products for sale on Amazon also participate in Amazon’s affiliate program. This allows them to earn a commission on sales made through their affiliate links. You can also sell products on other platforms, like eBay or Shopify, as long as you have your own online store hosting them.
